Make-up Technical File- Masterclass Guest speaker Cat Parnell creating a VS make-up look

In our recent make-up lesson we had a guest speaker Cat Parnell. Cat is a Hair and make-up artist who graduated from Southampton Solent University, she does beauty, fashion, advertising, grooming and occasionally film and TV. It was an honor to have her come into our lecture and show us a few tricks of the trade and create a complete look for us. We were able to ask her many questions including career advice, make-up tips, products, whats shes enjoyed most, what work she has done etc.. the questions just went on.

First thing first was she needed a model, I agreed too because I had no make-up on so my blank canvas was ready to be painted. The demonstration started with curling the hair, everyone was able to have a go a curling a section, she started with the curling tongs and started at the root and brought the hair round and then twisted the curlers round so swivel the rest of the hair in. Once the hair was completely curled she started on my make-up which was a VS inspired look. The look was light, glowy and the cheeks were warm and the eyes were piercing with eye shadows that complimented my eye colour. Cat uses a range of products and brands depending on the needs of the models skin type and colour.

I loved the look she created on me, the skin was so dewy and flawless,my eyes were piercing, the lips were a natural pink and the cheeks were were flushed pink to give me a summer glow or more like a Victoria Secret glow!!
