Products:
- Vaseline
- MAC pinky lipstick
- kryolan mini lip palette
- Rimmel pink lip liner
- rimmel red liner
- sleek red lipstick
- avon purple liner
- MAC white lip mix
- MAC blue lip mix
- lip brush
- Firstly my model used a cotton pad and toning water to take off any product on the lip and then applied a small amount of Vaseline on the lips to hydrate them before product application.
- I then used a mix of the MAC lipstick and the kryolan mini lip palette to find the closes shade to my models natural lip colour. Using the lip brush I mixed the colours and vaseline together so the colour isn't as harsh to make sure it looks natural, than applied it to the lips.
- Next was a thicker application using a liner as well. I used a bud to take off the current lip application, I got the pink liner and sharpened it to make sure I can create a neat line accurate line. I then started in the corner of the mouth on the top lip and followed the line up to the cupids bow and then the same on the other side until I met in the middle of the lip. I started again in the corner of the mouth for the bottom lip and met in the center and the same on the other side to the center. I then used the liner to fill in the lips and then applied the MAC pink colour over the top.
- Next was the red lip so I used a cotton bud to take off the current product and used the lip brush to dip into the red lipstick and mix a small amount of Vaseline to it and applied lightly over the whole lip to give a red tint.
- Next was a heavier red lip so I used a bud to take off the excess colour and got my red liner and sharpened it for application. I then did the same process of lining the lips as the pink liner and lined the whole lips and filled them in. I then got my lip brush and went over the lips with the solid red colour to give an intense red.
The last lip colour I chose to create was a lilac to white ombre colour and then a light blue.
- I started with completely taking off the red lip colour and getting the Avon lilac colour and sharpening it ready for application. I then lined the lips completely and filled them in with the lilac colour.
- Next I used the MAC white lip mix and squeezed a bit out of the tube onto the back of my hand and then dipped my lip brush into the product and applied strokes of white in the center of the mouth however not to the edge of the lips. Just creating lots of white brush strokes in the center.
| BLUE |
- I then wanted to create a different lip colour so I got the MAC blue lip mix and squeezed a small amount on the back of my hand. I then used my lip brush and applied the blue all over the lip mixing it into the white that's already on the lip and applying it over the lilac liner colour. When applying the blue over the white and lilac it turned into a light blue colour.
Overall Evaluation
I think applying lipstick and liner can be one of the trickiest things to do as you have to be very precise and accurate to make sure the lips are symmetrical and even and the application is neat. I think each lip colour I created when very well and I was pleased with the outcome. Each liner has to be sharpened first so it has a sharp end and the application can be precise. I do take my time on each lip application to make sure its neat and equal, however I do need to improve on my timing to make sure its complete quick and neat.

Classic red; vampy oxblood; shocking pink; and even gold—we saw nearly every shade swathed across lips for spring '16. Whether you credit the birth of this beauty trend to Rihanna's ever-changing lipstick wardrobe, or the simple fact that a quick coat of crimson polishes off a Marchesa ball gown just as well as it does a pin-striped blazer from Topshop, we're glad the mouth is having a moment. Here, our favorite lip looks fresh off the catwalks—and the tubes to help you achieve them.

"Femme fatale" is how make-up artist Galo described to the designers' woman. To contrast the sweet, sorbet-coloured dresses in the collection, he reached for a vampy, wine-coloured lipstick that played off the sultry cutouts and plunging necklines.
