Model
My chosen model is Danika, I chose her because she has a very unique look and she has very strong facial features, is confident in front of the camera and finally for the catwalk look its also because she is very tall. Danika has a very good canvas to work on and I think she fit in well with what I'm going for with the dark hair and eyes girls. She has fair skin but is very olive toned.
Location
My location for my catwalk will be in the studio, I wanted a plain white background because the particular shots I want and the look i'm going for will need a white background. My first inspiration for behind the scenes catwalk was from Chanels spring/summer collection album of behind the scene shots.
Shooting/composition/stance inspo
My first idea for the shoot and how it will look catwalk will all be through the lighting, camera angle and the models stance. I like this very casual shot above with the very simple white background and it is super effective as the camera is slightly at a lower angle, the model is looking out to the distance and she looks like shes walking. I really want to create something like this for the catwalk using a white backdrop.
My second idea I want to create for the catwalk is I want it to look like my model is walking towards the camera like she is walking on the runway, again with a white background. I will do this with either possibly the use of a fan or someone helping to wind fan her with a large piece of card. I think this would give a really good effect for a catwalk look.
I quite like the idea of a shot being really casual, especially if its behind scenes then its not as much of a posed photo. Again here the background is white with just a small amount of the light blue in the top left hand of the corner where you can tell the model is in a room and a studio with a backdrop, but again this all depends on the angle and to make it look realistic.
Makeup and hair chart- Look One
FIRST IDEA
Look 1's main concentration is on the eyes so the skin and lips will be a flawless nude. The skin will be slightly dewy with certain features highlighted however not overly shiny. The cheeks will have a golden glow and will be bronzed. The lips will be kept a nude clothes close to the natural lip shade however just more nude and a light gloss will be applied over. The eyes will have a smoky grey liner at the bottom under the lash line and will be blended out across the lower eye. The top with have grey close to the lash line and then blue over the top, this will be applied thick and the top lid will be quite dramatic. The lid with then be filled in with the blue and with a liquid paste or oil blended out with a brush, next I will apply a blue shadow over the lid and blend it out to the top of the lid but not touching the brow. In the corner of the eye on both silver will be added and placed in the corners of the eyes, the lashes will have black mascara applied to darken them and add length. The brows will be filled in and will be thickened depended on the models brows and shaped then brushed through. For the hair I will completely curl the hair into beach waves and a few super curls, I will then loosely tie the hair back into a low ponytail and wrap a section of the hair round the ponytail so you cant see then band. At the front I will pull out little strands of hair to create a messy/wavy look and then spray to hold style.
FINAL FACE CHART FOR SHOOT
So after creating my face charts for the catwalk, I have booked the studio and I have got my model I finally needed to style her head to toe in Chanel inspired catwalk clothing, Jewellery and accessories. I went on a spree and put together and outfit for the first look. When I got home and I started putting the outfits together I came up with and outfit which is pictured below.
After putting the outfit together I felt the face chart I created clashed a little bit with the bright blue smokey eyes. I decided now I have the outfits I can re create the make-up looks so it works together as a whole and compliments what the model will be wearing and the colours. The skin is a matte finish with certain areas on the face highlighted and glowy and has a powdered set finish. The cheeks are contoured to give a bit of definition in the face and then a pink blush is applied to the cheeks finished with highlighting. The eyes on the top are a back winged liner and a smokey green liner at the bottom flicking out parallel to the top liner. The brows are filled in and shaped well and the lips are lined with a light pink and filled with an nude colour and vaseline to give a natural shin. The hair will be straightened and back combed slightly at the top and sleeked down and then the hair will be tucked behind the ears and a silver head band will be worn. The outfit for this look is an over sized trouser black jumpsuit a tweed green and white and black pattern jacket, pearls, silver necklace, silver headband and a black side bag in the style of an iconic 2.55 flap bag and finished with a grey waist belt.

FIRST IDEA
FIRST IDEA
This is the second catwalk look I created which created this look for my assessment. The skin is a matte finish with certain areas on the face highlighted slightly and has a powdered set finish. The cheeks are contoured to give definition in the face and then a pink blush is applied to the cheeks finished with highlighting. The eyes are a winged liner the at the top and a grey to blue liner at the bottom flicking out parallel to the top liner however not a thick. The top is firstly lined with a bright blue pencil and then over lined with a blue liquid liner and then then the flick is created on the top, the bottom is lined with a grey pencil to the end of the eye under the lash line and then the blue liquid liner is used at the end to flick it out parallel to the top liner. Once stroke of black mascara is added to the lash to separate them slightly, the brows are filled in a rounded shape with a slight arch at the top and are quite defined. The lips will be representing the colour shipshape from the Chanel spring 2016 make-up collection which is a orange/red colour. The hair will be super straight with a middle parting, the top slightly back combed and then brushed down to keep nice and sleek and then the hair will be tucked behind then ears.
FINAL FACE CHART FOR SHOOT
So again for the second catwalk look, I wanted to re invent the face chart for look two, this one I didn't change as much as the first look because the outfit for look two is black white and grey so the make-up can be a little brighter. The skin is a matte finish with certain areas on the face highlighted and glowy and has a powdered set finish. The cheeks are contoured to give a bit of definition in the face and then a pink blush is applied to the cheeks finished with highlighting. The eyes on the top are a back winged liner and a bright blue liner at the bottom flicking out parallel to the top liner. The brows are filled in and shaped well and the lips are lined with a light bright red and filled with a bright orange lipstick, which then with using my lip brush will blend together. The hair will be straightened and back combed slightly at the top for volume and the sleeked down and put into a low ponytail, I will then grab strand of the hair from the pony tail and wrap it round the hair so you can't see the hair band. I will then put two silver headbands on the hair. The outfit to go with this look with be a black and white patterned dress over sized grey jacket that will be zipped up, grey waist belt around it, pearls, silver necklace, two silver headbands, and a light pink/peach side bag in the style of an iconic 2.55 flap bag and a silver bangle on the wrist.
