Steps
- First step was cleaning the face with toning water just to make sure the model face is make-up free. I then used a moisturiser all over the face and the neck. I then applied a primer to the face all over with my foundation brush, the skin is now ready for the application of make-up.
- I then applied the Amarni foundation all over the face for a light coverage. I used a darker shade of foundation and a lighter one to contour the face. This is to be able to give a light contour and sculpting of the face with the foundation. I applied the dark on the top of the forehead, cheekbones, chin, just under the jaw line and tip of the nose and side, I then applied the light on the centre of the forehead, under the eyes, below the cheekbones, centre of chin, eyelids and centre of the nose. I then placed a small amount of the make-up blend and squeezed brush, this helps to blend the foundation into each other and give a slight glow to the skin. Using the brush I blended it all in and worked it onto the ears and down the neck.
- Next was setting the foundation and highlighting certain areas with the powder. I applied the white powder first under the eyes, centre of the forehead and under the cheekbones and the over I applied the banana powder. I then used my large powder brush to blend it in. I wanted a glowy look so I applied only a small of powder so it set the make-up however wasn't completely matte.
- I then used the sculpting powder and used my brush to define the cheekbones. I then went over the cheeks with the Illamasqua blusher which is a mix of a dark pink and bright pink to give warmth to the skin. Lastly on the skin was highlighting it which I used a fan brush and highlighted the center of the forehead, under brow, tops of cheekbones, down nose, cupids bows and chin.
- I then started on the eyes where I created a black winged eyeliner and created a flick, I then used the blue pencil liner to line the bottom of the eye under the lashes and create a flick out also. I then gave the lashes one coat of black mascara.
- Next was the brows which I filled in a defined with a brown pomade and brush.
- I then lined the lips with a red liner and filled them in with an ornage lipstick and used my brush to blend the colours in.
HAIR
Equipment:
- Paddle brush
- pin tail comb
- straighteners
- two silver headband
- hair spray
- clips
- hair band
- grips
Steps
- Firstly I started with brushing the hair through. I then used the comb to create a middle parting.
- I then pre heated the straighteners and completely straightened the hair.
- I then back combed the top and sleeked it down.
- I tucked the hair behind the models ears and scrapped the hair back into a low ponytail.
- I then got a section of hair from the pony tail and wrapped it round the band and gripped it in place.
- I hair sprayed the hair and finally I put one head band on the model and slid it back and then put on the second one.
Some Images from the Shoot

How the shoot went-
I shot my second look also with my model Danika so I booked 4 hours out to complete the shooting in for both looks 5 hours including pre makeup and hair. So as you know on the day of the shoot I met my model and hour before I booked the studio time for, this was to prepare for the hair and make-up and to set up the lights in the studio. Once I had shot the first look me and my model went to the downstairs makeup studio and set my kit up as previously we were upstairs because it was very busy. However I asked my model to take her make-up off and then I created catwalk look two, I the pre heated the straighteners and went over the hair again and created my second hair style which was a sleek low ponytail with two silver headbands. After the make-up and hair was done I got the garments and jewellery out for the model to put on. My model put on the dress and had the grey jacket over it, it was originally meant to be left open however when zipping it up I felt it looked better done up. I the put the waist belt over the jacket as originally it was going under however looked better over. I then put two set of pearls on her and then a dark silver grey choker styled necklace which worked really well. Originally Dankia was only meant to be holding the pink bag however when researching Chanels catwalks they love to sometimes hold two bags and it looks quite edgy so I decided to give Danika the black and pink one to model with and it came out rather good. By this time I did have the beauty dish and the lights were all ready and on the right setting from the previous shoot so we were good to go to shoot. Danika again pulled out some amazing looks and followed the type of look and style I was going for the make it look catwalk.

Did any problems occur on the day or during the shoot?-
Again it was only the odd photo would every so often come out not in focus so I had my assistant Naomi looking at the computer and checking the photos coming through to see if they were sharp and in focus which made things easier. Sometimes when I was shooting when I moved round her I would get a big shadow so I kept having to get the light to move with me so I could get all angles and positions I wanted. This was purely from me moving around which then the light shadow differently, in a lot of the images I did like the shadow because then it does differ it more than editorial however I didn't want super harsh ones. Apart from this everything went very smoothly and to plan on the day

Am I happy with the overall look-
I am very happy with the outcome of this look think overall it looks very well put together and suited for Chanel. I Incorporated everything I researched studied from Chanel and spring/summer trends and designers to create my final looks and still giving it that season feel. I loved this section look, the outfit looks so classic with the jacket and the waist belt with a dress under. The make-up I adore as the colours are vibrant and powerful in the images and really suit Danikas dark complexion. I'm very please with how they look and feel I really brought together a whole look as I have never had to do this before.

How do I feel about the images-
I'm super edited to get home and start selecting my favourites and what possibly might be my final image for submission. I think I got a range of images and took around 200 so I had plenty to choose from. The look I wanted and how they are portrayed as 'catwalk' is exactly what I was going for and I couldn't be happier with the outcome of these photograph. Post production here I come.
Am I going to re-shoot-
No I will not be re-shooting, I am very happy with my images and the selection I have and the look is spot on for what I was going for as I was trying to shoot in the style of walking on the runway or a behind scene last minute shots with the pure white background.
