- First step was cleaning the face with toning water just to make sure the model face is make-up free. I then used a moisturiser all over the face and the neck. I then applied a primer to the face all over with my foundation brush, the skin is now ready for the application of make-up.
- I used two shades of foundations on the face, one darker than the skin tone and one lighter, this is to be able to give a light contour and sculpting of the face with the foundation. I applied the dark on the top of the forehead, cheekbones, chin, just under the jaw line and tip of the nose and side, I then applied the light on the centre of the forehead, under the eyes, below the cheekbones, centre of chin, eyelids and centre of the nose. I then placed bit of the make-up blend on my brush, this helps to blend the foundation into each other and give a slight glow to the skin. Using the brush I blended it all in and worked it onto the ears and down the neck.
- Next was setting the foundation and highlighting certain areas with the powder. I applied the white powder first under the eyes, center of the forehead and under the cheekbones and the over I applied the banana powder. I let the product sit for a moment then used my large powder brush to brush it away and blend it into the rest of the face.
- I then used the bronzer with a large brush and put it gently on the forehead and cheeks. I then used the sculpting powder and used my brush to define the cheekbones. I then went over the cheeks with the Illamasqua blusher which is a mix of a dark pink and bright pink. Lastly on the skin was highlighting it which I used a fan brush and highlighted the center of the forehead, under brow, tops of cheekbones, down nose, cupids bows and chin.
- For the eye liner I used a bright blue pencil on the top of the eye by the lash line and extended to a flick, I then used the grey under the eye by the lash line. To finish the liner off I got the blue liquid liner and went over the top liner and created the perfect flick, I then created a small flick on the bottom lash line so they were parallel. Finally for the eyes I used the black mascara just to separate the lashes ever so slightly however not a heavy application.
- Next was the brows which I filled in completely so they were defined and created it at an arch with the product.
- I finally moved onto the lips where I lined the lips with a red liner and then filled it in with an orange lipstick and used the brush to blend the lips in completely so the red to orange fade was natural.
Hair
Equipment:
- Paddle brush
- pin tail comb
- back comb brush
- straighteners

STEPS
- Firstly I started with brushing the hair thoroughly through and then sectioning the hair off with a clip.
- I then started working my way up the hair section by section straightening the hair to make sure every inch was done.
- I then combed through the hair again and used the end of my pin tail comb to center parting the hair down the middle.
- I then back combed the roots of the hair both sides and the crown of the head, I used my brush to neaten it over. I then tucked the hair behind the ears and used my comb to straighten it out. I finally used hair spray to set the style.

Final Evaluation
Overall I felt assessment day went very well and everything went smoothly. I turned up to the assessment before the allocated time so I could set my make-up up and get out hair equipment ready for the assessment to start. Once we were aloud to start I put a towel around my model and started by following each of my steps noted down to complete the look. I started off with completing the make-up which went smoothly and to plan and then I moved onto the hair. After the hair was done I accessorized the model and dressed her according. Overall I was completely happy with how the assessment went, I had luck on my side for the day as has no mishaps with the make-up or hair or anything that I had to redo or over come to complete my look. I would say looking at my photos which my photos didn't come out extremely well as the colour didn't appear to good in the photos and makes it look slightly dirty and the colour to the eye were very bright and the skin was glowing however didn't appear it in the photos. Looking at my final photos now I realised my parting was slightly off centre, however I feel my application and technique is very neat and I feel the eye liner and lip application came out very well and precise and equal on both sides of the eye. I think accessorizing and dressed my model according helps with the overall look and influences the outcome which projects the make-up. This year Chanel consists of tweed women's suits and a range of colours from red, blue, black, white and pink. Jewellery was big with the traditional use of white pearls and silver necklaces which I took into consideration when creating my assessment look as a whole. I purchased a tweed like jacket containing colours in this year and finished with pearls, a silver necklace and silver earrings. I feel overall my mood boards reflected my look well and you can see where I got each inspiration, colour choice, make-up and hair. I fully researched Chanel, designers and spring/summer 16 to get to the final outcome of my look where I have created a Spring/summer 2016 Chanel catwalk look. On the day I wasn't feeling 100% myself however got on with my assessment and completed it on time and according as this is how it would be in the industry as you can't miss a opportunity or job and have to get on, act professional and don't make excuses or complain as this is a career choice.
